I was trying to go to sleep last night.
And here comes this Access Hollywood special on celebrities and their pets. So, I jotted down some notes and thought I would share with you guys! Did anyone else see it?
I was so wrong when I said that they just have dogs because they're "cute" and probably throw them to someone else to take care of their pets. I was
very wrong. Boy, these dogs get the royal treatment and some celebs even rescued from shelters and this "Rally to Rescue" in California.
There is a pet boutique titled "The Silver Spoon" which holds a dog clothing festival for all the celebrities and their dogs to go out and buy things such as beds, collars and such.
I forgot what her name was, Rachel _____, who had a custom built dog house which was a replica of HER mansion. The dog house came equipped with a chandelier! It was $9,000. It was gorgeous.
They showed celebs bringing their dogs to their own County Club called "Canyon View Dog County Club" which is usually $2,000 - $5,000 a stay. They had a really cute bone-shaped pool for the dogs. They also had hammocks so the dogs could lay on them and swing back and forth. It was a "Cater to canines" place. It looked great.
They also bring their dog to doggy spas where they can get a doggy massage and there is also aromatherapy for dogs. That's just crazy!
There is also a real "Dr. Doolittle" for dogs. She says that she can communicate with them to find out how they live their live and if they enjoy their lifestyle or not.
There is a special instructor in LA who provides private lessons to a dog and dog owner for "Dogga".. doggy yoga! It was around $100/hr.
Many of the celebrities take their dogs to either Le Chien in NY which usually costs $300-500 for a grooming.
Some in LA take their dogs to LA Dogworks. It looked like an awesome place. I wish I could take Fred there! They do grooming, coat dying, nail painting, pawdecures. Those that are "stressed out" can go into the RR Lounge. In there, they can sit on couches and watch dog movies on a 42" plasma TV!
They also had a huge indoor dog park for the dogs that liked to run around and socialize.
Then, there is a service provided in LA called "The Pet Taxi". They cater to celebrities who might not have enough time to take their dogs to the vet, or to get groomed. It's $45 a trip. (http://www.lapettaxi.com/index.html)
Than, Access Hollywood proclaimed Tori Spelling's pug the most spoiled dog. She has a $35,000.00 diamond bracelet for herself and a matching $13,200.00 diamond bracelet for her pug.
It was an interesting special.
I also found out that Vera Wang (bridal designer) has a Yorkie as well!
I think these dogs have a better life than I do!
Here's another interesting fact.. the Jack Russel Terrier on Frasier makes $10,800 an episode!!
I just thought I'd share with you guys.
