Yorkies have a lot of labels, but they are all just one breed (as opposed to poodles and miniture poodles). They can't really predict how small a Yorkie will be. Brody's parents were 4 pounds each, but I think he is closer to 5 pounds now. It all probably depends on what you feed them too. The tiniest of Yorkies usually cost more. I wouldn't pick up a Yorkie from the breeder until he is at least 12 weeks old, but that's just my opinion.

My mom saw a woman with a Yorkie in her purse inside Walmart the other day and nobody said anything to her. My mom said the dog was acting perfectly fine. You can probably train them to be quiet in certain situations. I never had problems with Brody barking until recently. Just don't give in to them when they bark. Brody barks when he wants something and can't get it himself (like a toy that's on a table too high for him). For the most part, Brody is a really quiet dog and he would be fine in an apartment. Just don't tolerate barking from the beginning, and he won't do it. We always thought Brody's barking was so cute - not so much anymore!
