The mom and dad are both around 8 pounds. The daddy's father is only 5 pounds and his mother is about the same size as him. The mommy's parents are around 5-8 pounds as well. I knew they would probably be bigger pups. I just didn't think they would grow SO rapidly! I just hope that prospective new homes will see them for the dogs that they are and not for their size. Alot of people only want "teacups". I really prefer the "bigger" yorkies because they have less health issues (to a certain extent of course), less problems with labor and delivery, and they are better suited for families with small children. If yorkies were never "bred down" by MAN, we would all have 7-9 pounders on average!
