I want to thank Lisa Todd for posting the Parquins email. This thread has been very informative. After giving it some thought, I do think the Parquins email to Lisa was out of line. As the saying goes, 'He who lives in a glass house should not cast stones'. Breeding the perfect Yorkie is not an easy task when you consider all the various lines (and looks) in the U.S. and abroad and the various interpretations of the standard (beauty is in the eye of the beholder). What one breeder considers correct, another breeder will not. Also, no breeder is perfect. That is why show breeders sell many of their puppies as pet quality with limited registration. I try not to judge a breeder just by the bad Yorkies they have breed but also by the good they have done for the breed. It is a very difficult task producing top winning dogs and I know there are many on YT that have spent countless years dedicating their lives to the betterment breed and I applaud all of you....you are our mentors!
