Maintaining a show coat is a lot of work. Once facial hair starts getting long most show breeders put wraps on the facial hair, even under the eyes to soak up moisture. You have to change the wraps daily. Some people just use the little latex bands to keep the hair away from the mouth. I really don't think you would want to go that route. If you have a dog with a cottony coat then it is even harder to grow coat because it breaks easier. I am just learning myself about growing show coat so I really can't be of much more help. |
