I hate to admit this but when I first brought Chewy home, I was wondering if I had done the right thing. He was so cute, and I had had dogs before. But my kids were grown, and we hadn't had a dog for 2 years and for once my life was pretty much mine again. Chewy took a lot of my time. Potty training was tough at first, and I felt like I had a baby all over again. It took a few days to get used to careing for him, and I was NOT TAKING HIM BACK!!!! I knew I had him for life... After a few days (2-3 days) I couldn't imagine life with out him. You need to bond with your baby and you won't if you don't take care of him. I would dare to say he will melt your heart and bring you much joy for many years to come... Your husband has bonded with this baby because he is careing for him... I can say I know how you feel and I think you would get over it, but you know better then me.
