When he gets excited and starts barking he will sometimes start to cough. I have cough medicine I give him when that happens and for now it is working really well. He also get sore throats more often. My vet has also given me a steroid to give him when he feels bad. All this has helped but I can't help but worry. I have always used a harness, which the vet said was the best thing.
