I so agree with you about vets telling you "they'll eat when they want to - just starve her down! That's what they told be with Sabrina at 2.5 pounds when she was allergic to some dog food and wouldn't switch to another! Even a few ounces is horrible when you are that tiny - it has to be.
When Sabrina gets tummy upsets - my vet said that the Gerber baby food - turkey and gravy - could be used (she's allergic to chicken) and you can mix it with rice if you want to. Really helps Sabrina keep something in her stomach when she's ill. I keep it on hand now.
Hope she's better. It's just like with human babies - they can't talk and it just worries me to death when they are sick. |
