Well, here is an idea.....maybe you could take him to the vet as a "donation". If the vet says he is pretty healthy and the hair loss seems to be stress related, maybe you should go for it. I wanted my puppies tested for liver shunt and she said they don't do that unless the dog has symptoms. I am surprised that spca hasn't tested or treated them for ANYTHING. All the numerous shows I watched on tv about them show them taking them to the vet if something seemed wrong. If you do take the pup to the vet, make sure to take a stool sample with you. Please let us know what you decide. I know a vet isn't cheap, but I honestly think that if you just let it pass, you will ALWAYS wonder .... "what if"..... |
