I would be royally P.O'd with that vet!!! Your baby needed a bit more attention than it sounds as if he gave her. Give her the Nutrical maybe 2-3 times a day til she starts eating. BUT, try her on baby meats and rice cereal; or smash her regular puppy kibble into coarse meal consistency and mix with baby meat. I ADVISE PARENTS TO GIVE THE BABY WHATEVER THEY WILL EAT. You can always change a bad habit if you have a healthy dog but it is too late if you do not get them to eat something. I want to tell vets to get real sometimes..WOULD THEY LET THEIR BABY HUMAN GO WITHOUT EATING? You bet your sweet a** they wouldn't if they had any sense.
You are right to worry about your baby but don't panic. Seems you have a handle on what to do. I give my babies Kaopectate 1/2-1ML but not til after 24 hours so they can eliminate the bug if it is just a bowel thing.
Please let us know how your baby is doing. I will say prayers for you and your wee one.
