My hubby and I usually cook together. It works out much better for us that way.
Tonight we had tacos. While I was cooking the meat and sides, he was getting all of the "toppings" ready (chopping tomatoes and shredding lettuce, etc.) and making sure the table looked nice and perfect.
Then we clean up together. Most nights he does the meat and I do all the "extras". It just depends though.
When I was working last summer and he was looking for a job, I would come home to a great dinner every evening, laundry clean, folded, and put away, and a perfectly clean house. It was great!
