I reckon the postie must have kicked out at the dog, my hubbys a postie and he cant undersand how you could accidentally tread on a dog walking up someones drive.
Just on the defense of the nice posties though, i wish if people have a dog that is prone to biting they wouldnt let it just out in their front gardens when they know the postie comes every morning. Ad has been bitten a few times by different dogs, one of the worst bites being from a yorkie, which leapt at him and embedded its teeth in his leg!
