My Max was 3lbs and it didn't phase him at all. Abby had it done too and although vets may not automatically check, if I was to ever lose Alphy I would make sure every vet in my area and then some new that if someone brought in a yorkie that was a new client or a new dog to them that they knew to scan it for possibly being stolen. Being chipped I think gives you better odds for a chance of recovery. If your pet is picked up by the shelter they would scan for an owner. When I adopted Abby she was found as a stray. Purebred Golden, no chip but she had tags, downside was that the number associated to her tags was disconnected. So another thing to remember is to keep your registration up to date.
For those that said it shifted, how did you know? I didn't think you could feel them. |
