I totally understand and Ellie doesn't eat Hills either. But, then I see her side of it too. Hills is one of the only manufacturers that let her tour their facility. The "premium" companies seem to resist it. That tells me they are hiding something. You will also see premium companies use "human grade" meat. There is no such term. It can mean whatever the manufacturer wants it to mean. The only meat humans should eat is meat that is "fit for human consumption". No dog food that I know of has this phrase on it. I would still feed "premium" foods because they don't contain things like ethoxyquin but they still have their problems.
