Jeter is still real young, he is only 4 months old but I started to put him in his purse the first week I got him home. I live by his Vet office so I walked him over in his carrier just to get him use to it. I also took him a to a few church and school visits when I had to pick up things for my kids. My husband even took him to the hardware store, but had him in his arms
By the time he got all his puppy shots and I could take him into pet stores and other places, he just is used to his purse when inside it that he is super Quiet. He is good when carried in open arms too, he wants all attention on him and enjoy's getting petted by children and adults
