Hi Kat....I have a Murfee. I would leave him out if he is mostly trained and you wouldn't mind if he has an accident. Murfee has never been penned or crated. When he was itty bitty I would leave him locked in the kitchen but he has pretty much had the run of the house since about 6 months. Murfee also loves to sit on the back of the couch and "protect" us from boogers
