Default Need ADVICE herre ....

Hey everyone,

I have my Murphy who is a 4 lb loveable little guy, which will be 1yr old this March 14.

Murphy enjoys his days in a 8 foot exercise pen while I am at work, as I work 3 days a week 10 hours, but my husband gets home alot earlier then me.

Murphy has his comforts in there as well....water...dry food, his bed and his sofa with toys, so he can play. Plus his Pee-PAD! As he is Pad trained

I let him have a run of the house abit while I am home.

I want to start letting Murphy stay out of that exercise pen at times when I am not home. He will have run of 3 rooms (living room, dining room, kitchen) its an open plan home.

My question is How old should he be before I can let him alone while I am away? Should he never be let out of that pen while I am away>?

Is it a SAFER thing to just put him in the pen when I am not at home as I am doing now? I cant say he would not get into anything, as he doesnt while I am home, I try to keep plugs covered and things out of his reach.

Please let me have your advice and suggestions.

He loves to sit on the back (top) of my sofa and look outside at the birds and he falls asleep therre alot. He loves watching outside.

Thanks
Kat
