Exclamation

ok, I just got back from the SPCA low-cost clinic. they were very nice and seemed to know their stuff. it was also clean and looked as high tech as my usual vet.

I got the physical exam, fecal exam, heartworm/lyme/etc. bloodwork, and rabies vacc. They recommended that I wait a week or 2 before getting the other vaccinations done- whatever I choose to get. The whole visit was $85. Also, the rabies does not need to get done again until 2011.

I will continue researching and asking questions to see if I will get more vaccinations. I am a first time pet owner, so this is all new to me. I grew up with dogs, but it was always my parents making these decisions + money was never an issue for them. overall, I just want what's best for my baby, Kenna.

Also, I called the training club where I take her for obedience and agility classes and it turns out that the only vaccination required is rabies, so they don't require more. It's the daycare/boarding place that requires all of the others.
Sorry for rambling. Thanks for all of your comments and advice!
