Most dogs don't get car sick, some do...I've only had one dog in my lifetime that has gotten sick, and believe me, I've had ALOT of dogs. I like either a play pen or a xpen..I wouldn't use a crate if you're going to be gone 6 hours a day, they can't hold their bladders that long. I would take a crate to pick him up in though, safer than driving with him on your lap..good luck, congratualtions, and welcome to yt..
