I like the look of both the long tail and the docked tail. How ever, these are God's creations, and he made them with tails. What the standard calls for is people changing what God has designed to please themselves. As far as I am concerned that is down right selfish. if Sadie didn't have her tail I would have bought her any way... I love the docked tail look. But if the choice were mine I could not say yes dock the tail.
My breeder is a reputable show breeder, and she doesn't dock tails. She doesn't want to put the pups or the mom through it any more. Sadie's brother is going to be shown with his tail.
Sadie is as clean as any of the dogs here. Her tail doesn't get in the way of going to the bathroom... There are many dogs with long tails that have no problem in this area so that just makes no sense to me.
