yes, accidents happen every day. You can never be too careful. Heck, my VET even dropped one from a previous litter. he was transferring them to a box for me to take them home in. newborn babies. This man is over six feet tall. he dropped the baby from chest high and his assistant broke it's fall with her foot. We never did know which pup it was. They were all fine. he was so embarrassed he didn't know what to say or do. I was furious but I tried to make light of it and make him feel better. I mean, how can you stay mad at someone like that who comes any time day or night you call him and I call him a lot. I was thinking if it was Sam, maybe he had a fatal disease or something that I needed to know right away as a breeder so i could fix it and give Mary's money back. I knew he was checked two days before he left me and then Mary's vet gave him a wonderful rep[ort so i couldn't imagine what it could be but i had a gut feeling it was an accident. It sounded like he was bad off and I was so afraid he was going to die. That is the puppy I wanted to keep to show but his ears got just a little too big. he has more gold on him than the one I actually kept to show.
