Malts , yorkies, greyhounds and a few other breeds have less dander which some people tolerate better.
I have a Maltese and a Yorkie and my sister's husband is SEVERELY allergic to them. Everytime he comes over my house and plays with them, he starts sneezing, itching/scratching and his eyes get watery, etc. I also grew up with severe allergies but I've never had ANY problems whatsoever with my 2 pooches. But my friend has a Maltese/Yorkie mix that she got from a shelter and I'm really allergic to him.
