I did have a female that was 14 lbs she was from smaller parents and I was told she would be over 7 lbs. She was AKC I had to laugh as I called her 2 dogs in one. But the breeder couldn't believe she had gotten that large. I was lucky, my breeder knew me well and due to my health I can't lift much or it strains my arms. The breeder ended up giving another puppy at Christmas time. But my breeder loved my larger dog so much she kept her she had a great personality and she is a lover. Her mom is in the home with her and she is the queen over her mom per the breeder. Buffy was an adorable dog. I don't think you have as much troubles out of the larger dog, health wise as you do with the smaller ones. Don't let anyone tell you he is a mix. Tell them that yorkies use to be this size and was breed down. Most people think of yorkies being the tinies. They think 7lbs are large anymore.
