Welcome to YorkieTalk!! As everyone has posted, YT has so much good information. Yorkies are awesome little dogs, and they are so easy to become attached to...... mine are glued to my hip!!! (they also are very spoiled, and they are a big part of our family)
But even with all the wonderful things, there are a few things that you should be aware of before buying one. There are a few health issues that some Yorkies sometimes have and you can avoid a Yorkie with health problems with some knowledge. You may want to do a search on Liver Shunt, Luxating Patellas, hypoglycemia, Legg Perthes.... (lots of info right here on this site).
The fact that you are doing your homework before making a purchase says a LOT about you!!!!
