Bleach unfortunately is the only thing that kills parvo. Any tips on what I should do to clean the furniture? I'm thinking about buying a spray bottle and keeping that on hand at all times but there are still some things that are not bleach safe like the couch... coffee table.. carpet.. |
We are glad to hear Franklin is home.
I am not sure what color your carpets are but if they are a lighter color you can put bleach in the water in your carpet cleaner and do your carpets that way. I would test a small section with the diluted strength and see if it discolors it. I was told to do that by my vet when a dog I had gotten from the shelter was sick. It worked really well for me. As for the hard surfaces just use diluted bleach water for that also. I would use papertowels and then throw them away.
