Well, when we got our first

yorkie, he cried in the crate, we gave in, and he's slept with us since. Then yorkie

#2 came along...she cried in her crate, we gave in, and then there were 2 extra (little) bodies in our full size bed. These fur-babies may be little, but they are bed hogs. When they fall asleep, there is no moving them! So........we got a bigger bed!

LOL Now we have Toby

. At just a tad over 2 lbs we thought
NO WAY can he sleep with us (at least not until he's a little bigger). So into a large crate he goes each night, and so far he does very well. I myself feel a little sad

that he's there and we are all on the bed, but he doesn't seem to mind (or fully get it yet). For the life of hubby and me, we cannot remember how it was that we felt comfortable enough with the other two about not falling off the bed when they were small. They were a little bigger than Toby at that age, but still...

Anyway, Toby sleeps fine through most of the night, but often wakes up about an hour or so before we normally get up, and cries to be let out. That's when he joins us all in bed. Since we are not ready to get up that early, he has curled up with us and surprisingly has done quite well falling asleep in one spot. Even still, I think we'll keep him in his crate for as long as we can or til he get bigger, older, and wiser about the edge of the bed. It's quite a drop to the floor.....and a hard-wood floor would
NOT be a soft landing for him!
But someday..........no doubt there will be 3

yorkies in bed with us.....and someday there-after......maybe 4??????????? Hmmmmmmmm
