I just gate Teddi in half of the kitchen while I am gone. When I am home she has free reign of the house and if I just go out for a little while at nite I let her run around and play with my other dog. I just think that all day is too long to let her run free (plus she would drive my older dog crazy all day and she needs a break from her!).
