we ended up having Smokey's extra canines on bottom and top pulled at about 6 1/2 months.....he got to where he wouldnt eat and had lost over 6 ounces in a week....vet said that he was in too much pain to eat so they had to be removed......he came home 6 hours later eating like nothing had even happened....all is great now...........some say leave them but i couldnt stand by and him maybe starve to death......hope this helps......
