Dogs do not need grains or carbs period. A little won't hurt, but dogs are carnivores and need mostly meat, bones, and organs. I feed absolutely no grains to my dog or cats, and their food has very minimal fruits and veggies.

I don't like grain-free kibbles, however....lacks moisture that is very important and is overcooked and overprocessed. Dogs and cats need moisture, and those on kibble are more dehydrated than those on a moist diet. I suggest getting a grain-free canned food - Innova Evo or Nature's Variety Instinct
