It was so hard to see my brother so sad. After having the baby with her for 4 days, being only being 17 and with another little one who was only a year and 1 month, realized she could not do it. So decided to give the baby back, but Social Services steped in and put her in foster care. And had been put on their waiting list. It took only a month of fighting, but they did get her back. She is now 3 years old. And she is totally theirs. It take a very strong and special person to adopt an unwanted baby, and an even stronger person to give their baby up for a chance at a better life. I'm so happy for you!!! |
What wonderful stories, I always feel guilty when people have to go through so much to have the baby they dreamed of. A good friend of mine spent years doing everything possible medically and after many expensive dissapointments finally adopted a wonderful boy. I, on the other hand could apparently get pregnant from drinking out of the same water glass or if the wind was blowing the correct direction.
My Bret is well recovered from the burns, but has gotten slack about keeping the new skin out of the sun and applying the creams day & night, so his arm and leg will probably always have the marking from it.
That was the short list of hospital visits...the long one is just too depressing to contemplate, let's just say I have earned every one of my grays. kids.
