I don't have any funny stories, but I just want to wish you well in your move. My sister is moving with her DH and 2 large dogs today from Michigan to Kansas, and I am very happy for her, even though it has been tough. I myself have moved 9 times since I left my parents' home.
I'm pretty good at it by now. And last time we moved, we downsized from 1000 sq feet to 800 sq ft, and that was hard, I can't even imagine what kind of cleansing you are going through. I have gotten better over time about getting rid of what I don't actively need or use, and I am glad that I have. We have cleaned out 3 different homes in the last few years of grandparents, and I can't tell you how much junk some people hold on to!
