I have an older Yorkie mix - I was told she was around 5 when we got her, but when I took her to my vet, he estimated her to be older. It's hard when you don't know for sure, I know.

Dogs can live a long time, even with problems. My dog Chi-Chi from my childhood lived to be around 13 years old, she was a Yorkie.

Rescues can be tough, but they are worth every minute of your time spent. My Sandy will NOT leave my side for anything, she is so loyal. I think she knows the meaning of the word "grateful"

Sandy was pretty laid back, but on Sunday we brought home her sister, Tia and she has really pepped up since then. She thinks she needs to show her the ropes and is doing an excellent job

Sandy also had bad teeth when she came to us, but we've been on a strict brushing schedule and I had her teeth cleaned by the vet. At her last visit to the vet, he said he was thrilled with how well her teeth are doing.

I would love to see pictures of your new addition - welcome to Yorkie Talk!
