that "choking" thing that she is doing might be kennel cough...... with kennel cough they have episodes after they eat/drink, after they are active, ect.... keep an eye on her and ask the vet again, it is also a good idea if you have a video camera or a tape recorder to tape her making these sounds and you could give this to the vet...... good luck
