I don't want to downplay how serious his problem could be, but I wanted to give you a little hope that it could really be nothing serious. My mom's dog, Jake, has had a "shakey" head since she got him. He doesn't do it all the time, but if he looks up suddenly or hears something unusual or sometimes for no reason at all his head sort of bobbles. It's not a fierce shake or anything, but more like his head takes a little time to balance. My great grandmother had parkinson's disease and his head bobble reminds me of the way her head would shake. It's sort of like he's very faintly shaking his head "no".
He tested out normal for everything and is now 7 years old and healthy as ever. We just call it his little quirk.
It is my hope that your puppy will turn out fine. I know there is usually a reason for ever symptom, but this one doesn't effect Jake at all and he has had no trouble out of it in 7 years. |
