Yes, I know it is very scarey and it can get pricey, but please try to do what you can for him, b/c honestly you are probably the ONLY one that will.
Read up about the Lemon Law and once you get the Bile Acid Test results back, you get them to her ASAP along with the Lemon Law information. You might have to send them certified mail to have proof that she received them.
Again, liver issues are not the end of the world, ok? I have 2 and so far I have Bile Acid tested them both 3x each. My girl has higher #s and we did other blood work (approx. $150) for them to see if 'other' things were off that would conclude liver issues. We also did an ultra sound ($350) - I don't really recommend that though, b/c even though her liver was normal shape and normal size and NO shunt was seen, it doesn't mean there is not a shunt.
Your baby is still young, so I am assuming he hasn't been neutered yet. So that means, if his Bile Acid Tests are high, you can speak with your Vet about taking a Liver Biopsy at the same time they do his neuter, which would also be less expensive.
Anyway, I am just trying to help you to help him
BUT - No matter what - Go after his breeder for $ - It's the LAW!!!
And PLEASE DON'T GIVE HIM BACK
I will be here for you if you have any questions or need help understanding anything, ok?
