Don't be discouraged Dee. Anything worth having is worth working hard for. Hopefully Laurie will be able to come to the Specialty in March. If she does watch her like a hawk. She's been showing since she was 10 years old and she really knows what she is doing. Yorkies may still be relatively new to her but she knows dogs and she has a good eye. I watched and pestered and prayed for a year and a half for a mentor and finally got one. I was so relieved because I felt like I had gotten as far as I could on my own. Do you have a breed club around? There is a gold mine of resources at the breed clubs and the members are usually willing to help once they know that you are sincere. Hang in there!
