Victri, hi. You mentioned Sydnee straining after you switched her food? I am not sure what you mean by "straining". Did you mean like having trouble eating? Was she not chewing her kibble and trying to swallow it whole?
Did the vet check her trachea by chance? Is she coughing or just acting like she's chokeing? Im just curious if she doesn't possibly have a collapsed trachea?
Im in no way an expert. I've only read from the books I have and other posts on such things and I am only speculating. Id keep going to the vet or if need be a differant vet if Sydnee continues this behavior.
And I honestly don't think we can ever worry to much over our little one's. This is why we are here for them, to keep them happy, safe, and healthy! They depend on us 24/7
