I applied to 4 schools (SU, University of Washington, University of California at Berkely, and Stanford). I chose these schools because of their geographic locations.
(1) SU: I chose this school because my boyfriend of many years (now my ex of a couple months) had been attending it, and I was an undergrad there so I was awarded nearly a full ride. Probably not the smartest decision I have ever made considering the other school I was accepted to is a lot better...
(2) UW: rejected me despite the fact a number (quite a large # actually) were admitted with lower LSATs and GPAs, something about wanting geographical diversity.
(3) UC Berkely: accepted and should have gone, spank myself everyday I walk into my school...
(4) Stanford: waitlisted so basically rejected.
It was emotional and financial stuff that made me select my school, which I am pretty happy with, but selecting a law school really should be more a logical exercise.
