Ahhh law school. I will be begining my third and last year in about 2 weeks at Seattle University School of Law...

I took the LSAT way back in 2002 (I guess that is not that long ago), I got a 170 (not too shabby) and all I did to prepare was read the Kaplan study book and take a lot of practice tests. The most important thing is time management. Ration your time carefully and do not, do not spend too much time on any one question or set of questions especially in the logic games section. If a set of questions is not flowing for you move on!!! Give yourself like 30 seconds close to the end in case you have not completed all the questions and fill all your blanks in with a single letter, you are not penalized for wrong answers. Oh and on the writing section do not try to sound like a lawyer, that always comes off really badly!!! Oh yes and be prepared enough to only take it once, they average the scores if you take it more than once so it is pointless.

As for applying to law schools, do not even bother with schools that are not ranked in the top 100! Most major firms do not conduct interviews at them, and most mid-size firms will not hire you either if you graduate from them! Post graduation recruiting is like 3 a.m. at a bar anyway, all the attractive firms are taken so the undesirables all start to convince themselves that each other are desirable!

I would be happy to answer any other questions you have!
