My friend has a FujiFilm with a 10X zoom and she loves it. We went to Hawaii this past year and her pix of the surfers and other distant things were so much larger than my pix with my little Sony and its 3X zoom.

The batteries...that is one that the camera guy and I chatted about today...I am sure he was glad to get off the phone w/ me...anyway, he said AA lithium batteries were great! --not to get the rechargeable ones because it is guaranteed that they will fail when you need them!
I have a FujiFilm S series (can't remember the number right now) that is a bigger camera that is a 10 opti zoom and is 7 or 8 mega pixel that is GREAT!!!
I honestly compare it to my MIL's big Canon. I love that camera...I have taken GREAT GREAT pictures with it!!

The person who writes for this site, didn't give it a good review, but every review from people (on that site) who have that camera says it is "spectacular" and it is! And for the price.....whoa!
I was afraid of the "Fuji" brand because I didn't know much about it (and people seem to frown at that brand when I mention it), but I knew I could return it if not pleased, but wow...I have been very pleased....and you can get lens attachments too!
(my recent ice pictures were taken w/ that camera)
BUT...that is my camera....my daughter is wanting a small one...so....the hunt is on!
