Usually after a dog is diagnosed with kidney problems it will be put on a low protein diet. There is still no scientific evidence that high protien does cause damage. I am just not comfortable feeding high protein because nobody seems to know the answer to all of this for sure. At the same time I can't say it is wrong to feed high protein either.
