Try to follow a paper trail back to the AKC registration. If those records are not correct-the sire should have a DNA number if he has sired 3 litters in a year or 7 in a lifetime. AKC frowns on improper record keeping..
I will bet the dog is not AKC reg but the microchip is reg with the AKC companion animal recovery program..A woman came to my house with her AKC reg. pet shop puppy. I asked to see his reg papers and she said I had them in my hand. I looked at each paper and showed her there was NOT a reg application. I showed her the one from my dog. She was flabbergasted..her puppy could be ACA or CKC reg but the AKC looking papers were strictly for the chip.. |
