You can steam veggies, broil or steam fish, or saute meat/veggies with a little olive/vegetable oil in a frying pan. Most veggies are best left raw, but the book says which ones to cook and which to leave raw. You may also consider leaving the meats raw-I do! I only cook the chicken and the fish...turkey, beef, buffalo, and lamb are all fed raw in our house They love it!

You can add tamari (organic soy sauce) to the recipes, as well as fresh or dried herbs like basil, thyme, oregano, parsley, etc. Skip the garlic in the recipes though-it can be toxic to dogs.
