my yorkie cali had ear mites. we took her to the vet they gave her a shot 1 of 3 to help wit ridding them. and gave us some ear cleanser to use for a few weeks to help. we recently took her back to vet on saturday and they said her ears are looking waay better and in 2 weeks will be gone completly.. so in my opinion it can wait a few days. but should not be put off...not an expensive treatment either...
