My daughter We were out shopping at some thrift stores today and I bought a blouse for each of my girls. My 9 year old, Robin, picked out a 60's - 70's type blouse with leopard print. We went to a few other places and I bought some new clothes as well as put some on layaway for school at Walmart. On our way home the girls got to discussing what they wanted to wear to vacation bible school tonight. Robin wanted to wear the leopard print blouse but Sarah(8) said no it was too fancy, it is for school so she can't wear it. Well, Sarah is a problem anywhere we go, so I was trying to stay out of it. Didn't help that I had a heat headache by that time. Finally to stop the arguing I said "I haven't washed it yet, you don't want to wear it dirty do you?" I was driving and Robin was up front with me. She said "It doesn't look dirty." I told her "Just because it doesn't look dirty doesn't mean it isn't dirty. All that leopard print might wash off when I wash it." .................................. Silence. Then she said "YOU THINK THE SPOTS MIGHT COME OFF IF YOU WASH IT?" I looked over at her and she had this look of disbelief on her face, I couldn't keep a straight face. LOL She could tell I couldn't keep it in and the look on her face changed to a smile. I thought it was so funny. I hope you do too. |
