We are still in the court process and in counseling. My daughter is very open because she wants all parents that it can happen almost right in front of you....in the bushes, in the laundry room, on the playground. The guilt my daughter is feeling is horrible. I will keep you in my prayers. PM me if you ever need to vent....we have done lots of venting.
Thanks Patti.. its been a hard road especially when there are children involved as in your daughters case. Both the victim and offender were children and its really hard sometimes to keep this all in perspective. We found out that the abuser has being abuse by an adult for many years and this was a really good friend of mine's son. I am so heartbroken for all the damage. I don't know what the laws are like in the US but here in Canada there isn't any legal option unless the abuser is over 12. Although there are a few counts of abuse since he turned 12, we really feel that he needs counseling and support, more that punishment, to get this behind him.

I pray that things go well for your family and thatnk you for th offer to PM you. Same goes the other way

Hugs

Leslie
