I have the one that slips over the head. Overall, I like it. Although I think that I would like the step in better. The only problem is that the puppy class I am taking requires that the leash snaps to the front of the harness, rather than the back. On the vest that goes over the head the ring is in the front. On the step in, the ring is in the back. Maybe after Cooper is an expert walker I will buy him a step in!
