I had bought pet insurance (VPI) last year for both my girls because Bailey had been getting sick a lot.
I then took Angel in to get spayed, baby teeth pulled & microchipped and they only paid $42.00 out of the $390.00. They do not pay for anethesia, how do you expect a dog to have surgery without it?
You have to pay your bill up front, have the vet sign and fill it out then fax or send in.
They then didn't cover very much on the cost of vacinations. I thought it would be a good deal for us but I would rather just pay and not worry about it.
I get irritated enough with our family health Insurance.
When I cancelled they did prorate my payments and reimbursed me.
I changed Bailey's food from Royal Canin to Nature's Variety and she doesn't get sick like she did.
There are a few other plans out there now that may be better.
