I brought Sammy to a groomer near my parents' house (first time I've taken him there but went there on a friends' recommendation). She cleaned his ears and said that she thinks he has an ear infection.
When we got back to my parents' I did notice him shaking his head and rubbing his ears on the carpet, something he wasn't doing before. I looked in his ears and they do look a bit flaky inside, especially his right one.
I'm worried! I won't be back home for another several days to take him to his vet. Should I take him to an unfamiliar vet here by my parents'? Or is this something that can wait a few days? If so, is there something I can do in the meantime, like a home remedy to ease his discomfort until we get home?
