We just had a mouse problem and we used traps that work on a teeter totter and spring. You bait it with Penut Butter. There is a spring under the teeter totter and when the mouse walk over it, the teeter totter springs back up and the mouse is trapped. We caught our mouse within 3 hours (didn't hurt her at all ) and hubby let her go in the woods 10 miles from our house. I leave one out on a reg basis now, just in case, and they are 100% safe for my child or my dog to come into contact with. I think he bought this trap at Home Depot or Lowes. HTH!
